Traci Gerner is a dynamic occupational therapist with 20 years experience in teaching, collaborating, communicating, evaluating, treating and documenting in a variety of school and rehabilitation settings. Working with a population from toddlers through late maturity, she is committed to teaching and motivating students and clients in ways appropriate to their diverse backgrounds and learning styles. Traci has provided educational and clinical supervision to support staff, students, and certified occupational therapy assistants.
Traci is a nationally certified and licensed occupational therapist specializing in school-based therapy with a focus on providing the support necessary for the success of students with disabilities within the least restrictive environment. She has participated in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students to attain their maximum functional levels.
Traci also specializes in academic instruction at the college level in the occupational therapy assistant program with specific experience in the scholarship of teaching, curriculum and instruction. She has direct experience in developing and teaching classes at the college level both within the classroom setting and online.
Traci recently relocated with her family from Illinois to Arkansas and when she is not attending sporting events with one of her three children, she is exploring what is now her new home. Traci finds every opportunity possible to be on the water and enjoys swimming, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, water skiing and jet skiing – a day on the water is always a perfect day!
