Over the course of her career, Shatori has sought to create inspiring educational environments that promote the emotional well-being and leadership skills of children and young adults. Shatori graduated with Honors from California State University, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and two double minors in sociology and communication. She also holds a Masters in Social Work (MSW) from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Prior to joining Global TeleTherapy, Shatori worked with several different communities and disciplines including mental health, educational setting, intellectual disabilities, medical setting and hospice which will be vital to the success for an enriching learning environment. Shatori’s therapy experience extends to the school setting, outpatient therapy, ABA therapy, educational tutoring, college peer adviser and SAT prep administrator. Shatori is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and follows a traditional psychological approach as she receives ongoing clinical training to provide therapy and counseling services. Her goal is to integrate the social work values that inspire an educational style including: service, social justice, dignity and worth of the person, importance of human relationships, integrity, and competence. Shatori is located in Los Angeles, CA which she has resided for 10 years. She has a unique competitive approach and perspective to education with her past athletic history as a woman’s basketball player. Shatori enjoys traveling, poetry, working out and spending time with her friends and family.
