Rebecca Cook is a Speech Language Pathologist with a passion for creating change. She currently resides in Northern California, just outside of San Francisco. She received her bachelors degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from California State University Sacramento and her masters in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences from San Diego State University.
In her early career, she worked as an in-home Behavior Therapist for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders which deepened her passion for early intervention as well as social communication. She went on to research effective school based techniques for engaging students, the impact of community based preschool programs, and social communication strategies. She enjoys continuing to learn and believe her students have just as much to teach her as she does them.
When she isn’t at work, you can find her volunteering in the local community, spending time with loved ones, teaching yoga, working on her private pilots license, and baking treats.
