Rachel Shamah is a graduate of the University of Rochester as well as Boston University. She is a Certified Occupational Therapist and is licensed to practice in the State of Arizona. While she has provided Occupational Therapy in an array of settings, she specializes in School-Based Occupational Therapy. Rachel continues to regularly work in schools and enjoys collaborating with family members, staff, and students on ways to best modify the classroom instructional environment.
She brings many years of working with children with various diagnoses such as Autism, ADD, Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, head trauma/learning disabilities, and Asperger’s Syndrome. Rachel has received training in the Handwriting Without Tears program, How Does Your Engine Run, and the Wilbarger Brushing Protocol. Because it is Rachel’s passion to ensure that students who are in need of educational support are fully supported, Rachel looks forward to the opportunity to provide digital based occupational therapy services. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys fitness, hiking, as well as family-based athletic activities.
