Marci Morrison, MSW, LCSW, ACSW, Diplomat and School Social Work Specialist has been working with children and adolescents for over 30 years. After working in crisis intervention and foster care placements, Marci worked as a School Social Worker in Palatine, Illinois for 24 years. She moved to Arizona and has been a School Social Worker in Phoenix since 2012.
Marci has extensive experience writing IEPs, Behavior Intervention Plans and Functional Analysis of Behaviors. Since 1998, she has been trained and teaches all three tiers of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, creating a positive environment for students. Marci runs a myriad of social work groups and individual sessions regarding social, emotional and behavioral issues, motivational concerns and mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorders, ADHD and anger management. As a School Social Work Specialist, she is always aligning the work she does with students to their academic progress to help them become world class achievers. Parent engagement is very important in Marci’s work with children and adolescents. She has been teaching the Systematic Training for Effective Parenting class since 1989.
Marci enjoys being around family and friends, taking her Pet Partner Therapy dog to schools and nursing homes and working out. She also enjoys traveling.
