Lauren hails from Long Island, NY, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Creative Arts Therapy in 2007 at C.W. Post Long Island University. She is an alumni of Howard University, where she obtained her Masters of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Since her graduation, she has concentrated on her career and has worked with the pediatric population, which includes children ranging between 1 year old to 18 years old. Her speciality areas are articulation disorders, stuttering, culturally and linguistically diverse populations, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Lauren is certified in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment, trained in Lindamood Bell (LiPS), and as well as the PROMPT method. She has provided services to children with hearing loss and understands basic sign language. Her interests include: working out; spending time with her daughter; cooking; bowling; and fine arts. She has been an ASHA certified speech language pathologist since 2011 and is currently employed as a per diem speech language pathologist with Global Teletherapy.
