Kayra Emmons has been a pediatric occupational therapist for over 25 years. She graduated from the University of Southern California with both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in occupational therapy. Kayra utilizes a child directed approach focusing on all aspects of the child’s needs as she helps to evaluate and identify the underlying foundational needs for each child so they can achieve their greatest potential. Kayra has extensive experience in sensory integration and is certified to administer and interpret the Sensory Integration And Praxis (SIPT) test. Currently, Kayra has the privilege to also work at a school for students who require a more specialized program for school success in Kindergarten, Middle School and High School. She loves working with children, families and teachers and enjoys being part of a multi-disciplinary team. Kayra lives in California and has 2 children, one in college and one in high school. She loves spending time at the baseball field watching her son play, going to the movies with her daughter, and going to dinner with her husband!
