I live in Poland, Ohio, with my husband of 10 years and 3 children, ages 9, 5, and 3. I got my bachelor's in education from Youngstown State University and taught Science for 4 years in a general education room before deciding to make a change in my career. I obtained my masters in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Akron and have been a speech therapist for the past 3 1/2 years. I decided to change my career to an SLP because I wanted to give those students in need a more specialized, one on one type of education, and the flexibility and numerous paths an SLP can take was very intriguing. I love being a tele therapist because therapy is done at the convenience of the student, and because of that I feel I am getting the most out of each session with my students!
Between work, 3 children and a husband, I have very little free time, but on most days, you can find me attempting to squeeze in an exercise session and/or running my children to their numerous activities.
