Position Overview
Therapists are responsible for providing high-quality, virtually delivered IEP/school based Mental Health services to K-12 students. This is a W2 position available to therapists licensed and living in California.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct and consultative mental health counseling services in both individual and group formats in accordance with the students’ mandated IEP or identified needs
- Conduct educationally related mental health assessments and FBAs as part of Special Education service determinations
- Complete progress monitoring documentation such as daily SOAP notes and quarterly progress reports
- Provide behavior interventions and/or SEL supports as part of a school based team
- Consult with parents and team members
- Serve as an IEP team member by attending meetings and submitting paperwork as needed to maintain compliance with federal, state, and school guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Clinical License such as an LPC or LMFT
- Commission on Teacher Credentialing Certification
- Minimum of 1 year IEP experience (post master’s) working in a school-based setting
- Therapist will be under a 10 month (school year) contract with guaranteed hours per week
- 34 hours minimum availability required for full-time employees
